Genting and KL (2009~2010)

I'm back people!!! well, actually, i've been back since last friday, but I haven't been able to post this because of the limited computer time I've been given.

So since school is reopening tomorrow, It's gonna be now, or never. here goes....

We started out from home with our bags and stuff and took the MRT to Novena. We've booked a bus straight from Singapore to KL earlier and went the to wait for the coach.

It was a VIP coach or something coz there was this little screen in front of every seat with loaded with movies and stuff. I watched Transformers along the way (even though I didn't like it) and my lemon tea 'bekal' finished just halfway along the journey :(

The aircon was suckish, wasn't cold at all, but the seats were awesome. I can literally, lie down on the seat. haha :D

We reached KL in about 5 hours at Bangsar station, and bought train tickets (i hate buying train tickets) and took the train to KL Sentral. Good thing the train doors didn't close on us this time.

At KL Sentral, we bought bus tickets to go to Genting skyway station, which leads to another bus, which is supposed to take us to Awana, the hotel we stayed in. Had to wait around 3 hours for the bus to arrive, so we ate at KFC. The KFCs in Malaysia are way better than the ones back home. The chicken doesn't taste synthetic there. haha XDD

When the bus arrived, we boarded it, and I put my earphones on (as always) and just after a few seconds of Lil wayne's "Paradice", I heard the bus driver shouting, "YOU WANT TO EAT? GET OUT!" or something liddat. And he just stood there staring at the person eating at the back of the bus for like, 3 minutes or so. That apek driver like real only. pfft.

After a few minutes, we reached awana (finally) and checked in. I waited at the sofa in the lobby as my dad checked in, and guess what, I found wifi!!!! haha, so I updated my status, and checked for notifications, just in case I get a notification overload after 4 days of not checking :P

I signed in to eBuddy too, but ilyas wasn't online, so I signed out again. haha XD

We went up the lift to the 25th storey, where our room is located. I unloaded my stuff as soon as I got in. yes, unloaded. My wallet, watch, phone, earphones, shades, shades (yes, I brought 2) and chargers.

It was after all the unloading that my dad realised he didn't bring the charger for his video camera. crap. haha, which explained why there are more photos this time round XP

Went swimming right after zuhur/asar (jama') an man was it awesome :D The swimming pool was covered in a slightly thick fog, so it felt like swimming to oblivion every lap. My dad took some photos of us swimming, but I can't post all of it here coz my mum won't let me. haha

Went back to the room to bathe and rest for a while, and went out for a buffet dinner at the resteraunt there. The food was quite cool. I had chicken rice with Cajun chicken, sweet sour fish, lamb chop and "daging kicap", haha :D after dinner, I sneaked out and chatted with ilyas on my phone.

Day 2, had breakfast at the hotel and took a bus to Genting skyway station. I thought it was going to be like last time we took the cable car there. Short queue, not too many people. But this time, there were lots of people of all races. Especially indians. Lots of indians. Lots and lots of indians. and some arabs.

So we took the cable car up, talked and took photos along the way. When we finally reached the top, that was where the adventure really started. The shopping center there is like a maze. The directions weren't so clear and confusing. We almost got lost looking for the outdoor theme park. Damn those who made the directions for that place.

Had fun at the theme park. The first ride we took was Genting's signature ride, the chairs swinging from the chains which is at the entrance. the second ride was the flying coaster. awesome ride, but we need to pay 12 RM more for the ride. wth.

Then we went on the viking ride, and the family coaster. After we were satisfied (and hungry) we went into the First World shopping center for a bite. and some ice cream. Baskin Robbins is awesome! haha, I wonder why there aren't any franchises in Singapore. Hmmm....

I bought a shawl/keffiyeh/scarf or whatever you want to call it, for 20 RM. My grandpa saw it and wanted to buy it too. so he did. haha XD

went back to the hotel to pack, and left for KL the day after. upon reaching KL Sentral station, abrupt change in atmosphere. it was hot and humid, and I started sweating for the first time in 2 days. Took the train again, but this time, to Masjid Jamek, the area where they sell fake goods, shades, and local tidbits. I liiiike :D

Checked in to the hotel, took a bath, and went out again for shopping. Honestly, it was boring. Waiting for my mum and grandma looking for clothes and tudungs was boring as hell. At night, we took a train (agaiiiin) to PWTC to look for a pizza hut. And we found it! woohoo!

Pizza hut's service sucked. Sucked big time. New year's eve somemore. Anyways, we enjoyed the pizza :D

Day 4, Going home!!! Packed everything, checked out, and took the coach home. Awesome trip! weeee! XD

Audio Technica ONTO (ON300) Headphones [Limited colour; Gold]

earpump pro sonic gear

Finally, I'm breaking the tradition. after years of buying only in-ear-earphones, I decided to buy Headphones. I never really thought of buying one because they're big, bulky and would mess up my usually-spiky hair. But then I saw these headphones.

I've wanted to buy these headphones for quite some time, but haven't been able to since i was hoping to look for in-ear-earphones and settle down with it. Now that i have bought the NuForce NE-6, I'm satisfied and I'm hoping to stick with it until it spoils and dies out eventually.

Audio technica released the limited edition colours for these headphones recently, which made my urge to buy it even more overwhelming. Especially after i saw the gold ones.

It costs $38 (SGD) but i got it for $36 (SGD) at a shop in Amk Hub. The sound quality is quite good, considering the headphones were for the lower end market. The seal is not so good, but being small and portable really makes up for it. The headband of the headphones is as thin as a satay stick, which doesn't mess up my hair at all when I wear it.

Overall, I'm satisfied with it and I recommend it, especially for fashionistas and people who like colourful headphones. Audiophiles might not like it so much because of the slightly-above-average sound quality. Below is the full range (the limited edition colours might not be available for long).

What's on my mind? This is.

Salam everyone, I'm back! This time, I'm gonna post something more meaningful hopefuly. Not the usual, life updates and new song downloads.

I'd like to talk about some stuff I've been thinking about lately. Recently, I posted something on facebook about muslim brotherhood. for those of you who do not have facebook, or missed the post, here it is. It was 'liked' by 13 people only after a few hours of posting. Some people even sent me IMs on msn, agreeing with the post.

The only thing we need right now is a solution that can actually change us all for the better.

But today, Something changed my mind a bit. On my way to darul makmur mosque for Friday prayers, I met with a pakcik whom i always meet while waiting for the bus. I gave him a salam while shaking his hand, as always, and he replied back with a smile. A smile formed on my face inevitably as I see his smile.

upon reaching the mosque, I met with Adilah and Shahirah, my schoolmates, selling coupons at the mosque entrance. We exchanged smiles, and i walked into the mosque, still smiling. I did my tahiyatul masjid prayer and sat down, giving salams to the people on my left and right. a malay guy on my left, and an indian guy on my left. both replied, again, with smiles on thier faces.

So we did the Friday prayers. After all was done, we dispersed, and for the first time, I saw a white man, wearing a "kain pelekat". haha, cool right ^^. It's nice to see the integration of a foreign person into a muslim society, while picking up some of the cultures along the way. (Or maybe he was wearing shorts and had to cover his aurat with something. wallahua'lam bissawab.)

After dispersing, I went straight to the bus stop and waited for the bus. The wait was extremely long (45 mins. usual wait is around 10 mins) but it was not that tiring. everyone who passed by me either smiled, waved, gave salam, or did all of those things. It made my day, and i'm sure it will make your day too. There is still muslim brotherhood!! ^^

I know some people (a lot) still hate me right now, and all I have to say is, I'm sorry if I have ever hurt you in any way. A life of hatred sucks.

This has been bothering me for quite some time. I've given salam to some people whom I've hurt before, and tried looking at their responses. And guess what happened. Most of them just looked at my face with a "wtf-look" and walk away, ignoring my salam :(

But there were a select few, who answered with a smile. And for those who answered, I carried on with my apology, trying hard to be as sincere as I can with it. They all answered with "ok man, I'll forgive you, but just...don't do it again okay?"(something like that) ^^

To those who wouldn't answer something as simple as a salam, let me tell you something. Bangladeshi men would go out of their way to ask wether you're a muslim, JUST TO GIVE A SALAM! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! So let's stop being so full of ourselves and let's learn to forgive and apologize. (yes, of course i'm saying that to myself too) One Republic was wrong. it's never too late to apologize :D

Everyone can change if Allah wills it. For the worse, or for the better. So stop stereotyping and badmouthing people. And stop saying things like "he will never change. he makes mistakes and keeps making them"

Another thing I'd like to bring up is pre-marital love gone a bit too far. Some people I know are having boy-girl-relationships, and some of them are taking it too far (yes, kissing and holding hands is considered kinda 'too far'). And I'm not just talking about my friends from mainstream schools. Some of them are madrasah students! Saddening...again, i have no solutions for this problem (sorry for the 'graphic' photo below)

Spread the love people! ^^ WAllahua'lam Bissawab...

Pokemon, N-Dubz, Farid and Updates (28/11/09)

Wow. It's really been a long time time since I updated this blog XP
(thanks nina for reminding me)

1.I LOVE POKEMON :D

Quite recently, since I've been given a limit on how long I can play the computer in a day, I've started playing pokemon again.

It's been quite a long time since I played it and my Nintendo DS was quite dusty after being left in the shelf. Call me a nerd or anything, Buy I'll still say I love it, coz i do :D

To Azrul, quick, go buy a DS! I want to battle with you!
To Ilyas, hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

2.N-Dubz? Who's that?

A group of british musicians with good music. Thats who :D
(check out their other songs on youtube. btw, sry for the un-senonoh video. hehe)

4.Cactusflower Music Video

AARRGGHHH!!! I'm just itching to get the video done!! haizz..

When it's not raining, none of the 'actors' are free, and when it's not raining and the 'actors' are free, the cameraman is not free.

Dn't get me wrong, I'm not mad because its raining. I love the rain. But apparently, cameras and electric guitars don't like rain. Or any other liquid for that matter.

I just hope we'll get to finish it during the holidays. Amin.

5.I'm Vain? No, I'm just self-conscious :D

I look in the mirror countless times a day, I fix my hair every few minutes, I subconsciosly slip my hands in my pockets most of the time, I walk with constant swagger. But I'm NOT VAIN.

I'm just self-conscious. Just like any other teenager concerned with how they look. So don't judge me :P

And just for the record, I don't usually use gel. my hair just goes up naturally :)

Still Practicing Parkour

Many of you are asking, "you stopped parkour already issit?"

The answer, NO.

Despite the song recordings and designing, I'm still into parkour, in fact, the music video that I'm (hopefully) going to make features parkour in it.

If you have been reading my recent parkour posts on this blog, you'll notice that the videos are gone. I posted them on youtube and some hacker just deleted my youtube account!

Anyways, I'm not going to ask ppl to go parkour with me anymore. I usually don't get a reply, or they reply they don't want to. So, anyone who wants to parkour with me, just text me or something aite.

Youtube Hacked!!!...and Updates (25/7/09)

1.Youtube Hacked!!

If you guys have been visiting my youtube recently, you would see something like, "the account is unavailable" or something. No, there is nothing wrong with your connection.

For some reason, my youtube account had been deleted. Not by youtube (because if youtube deleted it, I would've gotten an Email from them). I suspect my youtube had been hacked. First, my videos started disappearing one by one. Then THIS. Haizz, hopefully I'll be making a new account soon, and I don't think I can repost the videos, because I didn't do any back-up. To whoever who hacked my account, damn you, and may your computer explode right in your face anytime soon.

2.Album Out [Beauty Is Her Middle Name]

Yes, I have released it. I contemplated releasing it in November because I hadn't completed the last song, which is track 6. Semi sweet dreams.

Now that it's done, I decided to just release it in October, as planned. I didn't really spend much time on the mastering because I wanted to make it sound like an album of raw, freestyle, serenades to fit the story-line in the album track listing. (Yes, there is a story line behind the album)

Here's the download link for the album if you haven't downloaded it, and would like to;

And for those not interested in the album, then check out the designs on this blog. And for those not interested at all, there is a red button marked with an X on it on the top right hand corner of your Pc for you to press (top left hand corner for Mac)

3.Thank You Abdur Rahman Yasin!!!

Today, I left school alone (again), and as I reached the place where we're supposed to tap our ez-link cards, I tapped my card, and the words "please top up" flashed on the small screen. Aaaaarrgghhh!!! I didn't have any money on me (just a few cents maybe) so I decided to walk back to school to extort five dollars from anyone I meet along the way XP

As I was merely a few meters away from the mrt station, there was a very bright light shining right before me! It was an angel!

Hahahaha, ok, so none of that happened. Except for the angel part. So I walked up to that 'angel', Abdur Rahman yasin, and asked him if he had five bucks (bucks, not dollars, because he uses american english), and he said "yeah, but it's for me to top up my card. Let me check first"

So I followed him back to the "tapping place". He tapped his ez-link card and got through.

"Yaaay! Alhamdulillah! I'm saved!"

Okay, I didn't say it out loud. I just smiled and said "thanks man," as i went to the top up counter to top up my bloody card. Once again, thanks so much bro :D

My New(er) Earphones, 'NuForce NE-6'

earpump pro sonic gear

My new earphones. The NuForce NE-6 (equivalent of thew NuForce NE-7M without the mic) Got it for $69 at stereo electronics. I've read many reviews on this one and decided to try it out for myself.

Nice bass, and subtle clarity of course. The range is also quite wide. but what I loved most about these earphones is the seal. Even when I'm not playing music through them, The noise from outside is almost shut out (with the exceptions of car horns and lamborghini engines).

There are 3 other silicone tips in the package, Small, Large, and Double flange (the Medium ones are already attached to the earphones itself. I thought about getting foam tips for these, but after finishing the burn-in and all, I realised it was already good enough :D

The aluminum driver case only comes in a blue. There are no other choices of colour except for the NE-7M, which comes in bronze/light brown. But the phones go into your ear, so by then, the colour doesn't even matter anymore.

You can wear it both ways. Either the normal way, or my personal favourite, the so-called "High-End" way (running the wire over your ear)

More photos below;

"Muhammad Ibnunordin - Beauty Is Her Middle Name" Album Download

(Before anything I'd like to clarify that I write my own songs, the music is from the instrumentals I found on the internet :)

Alhamdulillah, after about 2 months or so working on my first ever All-Original album, I can finally release it.

It contains both 're-recorded' tracks and some brand new ones which I written recently.

'Envy The Rival' was a 'freestyle' track, which means I didn't write any lyrics and just sang as the music played in the background.

All mp3 files, 32o kbps, 4800kHz. The download Link is below the track list.

1. A Somewhat Happy Song (Music by Guitartutee)

2. Love Masquerade (Music by Kr@zyJ)

3. Rumours (Music by Guitartutee)

4. Crystal Tears (Music by Ahmzaki)

5. Envy The Rival (Music by Guitartutee)

6. Semi-sweet Dreams (Music by Guitartutee)
